New Headphones

Hi, I am just starting to look into a pair of high-quality headphones and the pairs that stand out the most to me are the Audio-Technica ATH-WS770is and the WS1100is.  The 1100iS is on sale on amazon for $140 while the 770iS are $93, and don't really see the difference in the two. Are there any things that I'm just not seeing or would I just be wasting money going for the 1100iS's? 

 

Edit: I really like deep basses and its important that these sound good.
