Wrong chipset or Dead CPU

So I recently bought a X3470 to put in my old pc which had a i5 660, GA-P55-USB3 motherboard and 16gb ddr3 at 1333mhz.

All was working but now i put the new cpu in all I get is power on for 5 seconds then off and cycles like that forever.

So is the cpu dead or wrong chipset?

chipset dosent seem to support the CPU

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Hmmm, your motherboards socket is LGA1156 and your CPU is LGA1156, personally, i think your power supply cant handle it or its just a dead cpu

With it being a server CPU the compatibility can be limited.. You could return it or get a board that supports it.
