So im using a controller I purchased that supports x-input and direct and every game I play I have an issue where I move the thumbstick a little and the camera moves alot. it engages to quickly but I want it to be a little slower and smoother. Is there a way to do this with programs or drivers? in my computer it is recognized as an xbox controller in x-input mode.

Sensitivity issues may be the game. Have you changed in-game settings first?

i suspect the controller firmware handles analog input in a rather digital way, reporting the stick as full pressed even when it is not.

if so then there might not be much you can do but wair for a firmware fix.

some controllers also have an option to map the d-pad to thumb stick and vice versa - (logitech f310 has it)

if your controller has such a function, maybe that is enabled?

can you do slow movement with the thumbstick at all?
