Hello everyone,

My current build (meant for gaming):

AMD FX-4300

XFX R7-260x 2gb

M5A78L-M LX plus motherboard

8gb DDR3 RAM

465gb Seagate hard drive

Corsair 230T case

Corsair CX 430M PSU

(Please tell me if you need more details.)

I have $280 to upgrade my prebuilt computer. I was thinking of getting a Pentium G4560 and an RX 470. I realize prebuilt computers are somewhat difficult to upgrade, so I was wondering if my build would work with this upgrade.

If they aren't compatible what should I do? Should a buy an FX 8 core (which I assume would be compatible, I have an fx-300 now), or should I wait for a sale to replace the motherboard/RAM as well?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Well first of all, can you tell what power supply you have?

True but still inconvenient

There's a Chrome extension to fix night theme issues (forgot where) in some official thread filled with member-made forum mods.

G4560 + H110 motherboard (may require BIOS update) + 8GB of DDR4 should add up to about $160 or so. With the $120 left, I'd look at a GTX 1050Ti if possible.
