Windows won't let me see program Files!

Opencircuit74

I currently have windows 10 pro on my computer. The problem that I am having now is that when I try to do anything to the program files (copy log files, etc.) It shows up as this - . This is really annoying, and I cannot send a log file from a game that crashed to the developers. Thank you!

That's not where program files are. They are in the in two folders on the Windows drive, not in the users area.

The particular file that I am looking for is AppData. On my windows 10 home computer, this shows up no problem, as well as other files. I can't access these files on the pro computer, and it is pro! What the heck? If i search up "AppData", I get tons of results. This is why I need to know how to see the hidden files.

For that you can't see the folder. Type Windows key + R (for Run) and type %appdata% and you will see the files.

If you are looking for the appdata files you need to show hidden files.

Within the user folder go up to the top and click on the "View" tab. Over to the left of the ribbon that comes down there is a box that says "hidden items". Check this box and you should be good.

I would also recommend enabling file extensions. For power user those are really important way to keep track of files.

jamiec1130 gave the correct answer

C:\Users\######\AppData\Local

C:\Users\######\AppData\LocalLow

C:\Users\######\AppData\Roaming

replace the ##### with username

are the folders in there usually.... most programs are in Roaming and Local
