DT 770s version and microphone

I am looking to buy the DT 770s. I picked them over a gaming headset because I was suggested to do so. I want to buy the 250 Ohm version (145 euros) as my onboard audio has a headphone amp for up to 600 Ohm impedance headphones. Will I be able to use such high impedance headphones with my iphone 4s once in a while? I also want suggestions for a microphone. I like modmic but I also want some other options that I can pick up locally (I live in Europe).

Why do i always get blue screens? Why not a red one for a change?

I own the DT770's 80Ohm and I think it sounds great, but I've heard things about the 250 ohm version sounding better. The only test I can do is with the DT990 250 Ohm on my iPad or iPod nano 6G, if I remember right they barely get loud enough.

For microphones, check out the:

-Zalman ZM-MIC1 if you want a cheap, flimsy but good sounding microphone (for the price)

-Blue Snowflake for a decent portable microphone

-Blue Snowball if you want to do youtube or anything like that

I don't know much in the audio department. However i do know that my Blue Yeti sounds amazing. Great Mic for the price.

I don't really like desktop microphones, I want something like a clipon or a modmic to use in games or skype, I am not going to be doing anything like youtube. So far I haven't seen anything different than the Zalman and the modmic.

Well in that case, unless the Modmic is available again, I think the Zalman is your best options. It's SQ is the best when you have it close to your mouth though, so making an extension for them would be the best (I own them and did just that)

There are tons of other clip on mics available, but the Zalman is popular because it sounds really great for the money.

You can also grab these (or similar ones) and ziptie them onto your headphones, like its a headset, someone on the forum here did that and it looks great, don't know about the SQ though.

There are clip ons like Zalman, and also lavalier microphones. You can also make your own boom mic with some wires and audio jacks/phone connectors to connect them all.

The headphones you want will need a headphone amp for use with your iphone or anywhere else.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves - the Zalman is popular because it is cheap.

Any good and cheap portable amps that work with the iphone and have a battery that can sustain a 6 hour road trip?

I own the dt770 250ohm version and sometimes listen to them with an old ipod video. Yeah they aren't deafening... descent though. The lower frequencies are nothing special as well with the ipod but again descent. When I'm at my computer though I have a FiiO E09k powering the 770s and I thoroughly enjoy them there. And since the E09k has a dock for the E07k or E17 portable amps I plan on purchasing one of those for on the go.

If your motherboard has that headphone amp, you should enjoy the 250 ohms.

FiiO E6 :)

I read that the E6 is not powerful enough to drive the 250 Ohm version and that I should get the E11 instead. It is quite expensive though since I won't be using it frequently.

In what use case was what you read conducted? Remember , it's the E6 in addition to the voltage your iPhone can deliver, which I'd bet would be enough.
