Should I Crossfire 7970?

is it worth it? My Sapphire 7970 just dropped to $259 USD with a $20 rebate, so $239 to go crossfire 7970's. It is either that or save up more than the combined cost of the two 7970's and get something newer i.e. 780,780Ti,290x.

Yes. I SLI 660 Ti's. I get the performance of a Titan in 1080p. It's true.

Well a 7970 is already a fine GPU and if you have the chance to get a second why not with a reasonable price.

 

There are 3 things about this from my point of view:

 

1. Make sure your PSU is good enough for a CF

 

2. Hopefully you are not sensitive to micro stuttering

 

3. You will have definetly more power than a single card (except for maybe a couple of games where the 780 Ti OCed balls to the wall outruns everything) for a very sexy price.

Go with the secong 7970 you will get beastly performance

for a total GPU investment of $530 the performance sounds to good to pass up.
