ive seen some Z87-A, Z87-C, Z87-expert etc..

can someone tell me the difference between these variations other then the price tag and the difference in the coolers on them (i.e. mosfet heat sink etc)..

All these boards vary from features and ports that are included. The middle in the Z87 series boards from Asus imo is the Z87-A. It can do overclocking and the required features that most people need are there.

thanks :) much appreciated.. i was looking at the C variation but only cuz its cheap.. if i go gold/black im going to get a 4670k and a z87-A but if black/red(or grey instead of red) ill get 8350 and ud3/ud7 or asus formula Z

The least expensive is usually the Z87-K.

cant get it in new zealand unfortunately
