Ryzen B350 RAM compatibility?

Hi

So I bought a Ryzen 1500X for 999 NOK (~116 USD), and I'm now planning for the rest of the AM4 platform. I currently have an AM3+ platform, so I'm getting a new motherboard and RAM. The motherboard I'm planning for is the Asus Prime B350 Plus. I'm unsure about the memory support, though. I know people have had trouble running 3000 MHz memory on Ryzen, but how is the support today? Any specific memory that is known to work?

I would just get whatever is cheapest at the speed you want. There is a bios update due for AM4 boards which should hopefully iron out the ram issues.

Each mobo has on manufacturer's website a QVL list for RAMs and the speed they managed with some RAM sticks. Ideally you'd want something from that list, but tbh often those RAM sticks are overpriced and the lists are either short, outdated or having only top RAM models. You can also search for people that already build using that mobo with Ryzen and see what they achieved with their RAMs. It's a bit of a lottery at the moment. It should improve with time.
