Shielded ethernet cable?

I'm looking to upgrade my connection to an ethernet cable and this cable seems to be the perfect length and affordable, but I am running this through my attic and I'm wondering if I'd need to get a Shielded version. 

 

For reference my router is 1Gbs, used extensively by my family, and the most taxing thing I'd ever do is stream.

I don't know why you'd need a shielded cable. I have one of the ones you linked to, and it is perfect for me. Runs across the house, up the stairs and to my computer.

cat5e, if you're in a home situation, dont bother with shielded.

That cable is OK but it's really on the cheap side.  It's only 550 Mhz , so barely over the 500 Mhz required for Cat6.

You don't necessarily need shielding, a Cat6 cable should have every pair of wires in a sort of shielding inside the cable already.

 

IF you want something that would last for a long time, get a quality cat5e or cat6a from a brand name. Cat5e is good for more than 1gbps in both directions.

That cable is not bad for the price. I have one and it's very well made. Price doesn't always equal quality. I run two servers 24/7 on it with no downtime due to anything, and I've seriously abused it.
