Yesterday, Windows updated to the "Creator's Update" for some reason. I didn't think much of it, and I was looking forward to some of the features anyway. It updated, and I played some KSP for a bit, then shut it off. When I went to  click "Shut Down", I found "Update and Shut Down". I thought it was strange because I just updated but I clicked it. Fast-forward to today: I turn on my PC and it takes 5 min to boot. I then managed to get to the login screen, which seemed normal. I logged in, then the screen went black and a box appeared in the corner that said "Personalized Settings". My old laptop did that all the time, but I've never seen that on my PC before. When I eventually landed on the desktop, I pressed CTRL+ALT+DEL to get to Task Manager, which took 45 seconds. When Task Manager popped up, my disk usage was at 100%. Thinking it was malware, I went to control panel to do a scan. Windows Defender was not there, like it had been deleted. What's going on?

It seems your hardware doesn't completely agree with the latest updates done to windows (Or the system requirements have increased)

These are the reasons people are starting to jump ship to Linux. Updates that brick your computer (or just make it misbehave or cause program incompatibilities) don't get shoved down your throat when on Linux.

Somewhere their might be an option to roll back to an earlier version of windows. (I don't know where it is, sorry) Roll it back (basically uninstall the creators updates) and see if the laptop's behavior changes for the better.

I had 8 Gb and I upgraded to 12 a couple of weeks ago. Do you think the extra RAM is the problem?
