Hey everyone I'm new here and I'm looking for guidance of what to get for my first gaming PC, I will be mainly playing games like BF1, H1Z1, PUBG and a few more.

Im looking for a build that runs BF1 with great settings but that don't blow my bank up. I'm also lookin for the PC to be liquid cooled as well. Could you amazing people help me out my budget is about £1000-£2000max but £1500 would be perfect for me.

If you're going for gaming, I would skimp out on the processor in favor of a GPU, just like the guy above me has you doing. The build with a 1060 and a 7700K was good, but it's more of a content creation build than a gaming build. Best of luck with your build!

Everything I know I learned from the internet. Also school.

Current Desktop:

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 @3.65 ghz, Cryorig H7

MoBo: Asus Prime X470-Pro

GPU: Gigabyte RTX 2060 Super OC

RAM: 2x8 gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @2666mhz

PSU: 650W EVGA SuperNova

Storage: 120gb SK Hynix SSD, 240gb SanDisk SSD Plus, 1 TB 2015 WD Blue

Case: Corsair Carbide 100R

Peripherals: Logitech G Pro keyboard, Razer DeathAdder Elite, Logitech G305, Logitech G600, 24" AOC FreeSync 1080p monitor x2

The 7700k isn't really any more expensive than the 6700k though... and unless he's doing 1440p 120hz+ then a 1080ti is overkill.

edit: oh, and 16GB of RAM isn't enough for a 1080ti.  You want roughly double what your GPU has and the 1080ti has 11GB so 32GB is what you should be aiming for with any build that includes a 1080ti.

7700K has QC issues

but why 32GB is a must with 1080TI? 16GB RAM will work perfectly fine with 1080TI if the PC is meant for gaming

7700k has no more QC issues than any other new CPU release, and buying a generation old CPU for the same amount of money is silly.  If you get a poor performing 7700k then exchange it for a new one on Amazon, their return policy is extremely good.

You need 32GB because modern OS's use a lot of memory and between games and other programs a lot more RAM is utilized, so when you add in 11GB of VRAM that your GPU wants to use for textures that only leaves you with 5GB of RAM for everything else.  What's going to happen is that you're going to end up with tons of data going back and forth between RAM and your SSD (paging) and that's bad for performance and longevity.

Also, If you can't afford 32GB of RAM then you shouldn't be buying a $700 GPU.

I think you mixed up system RAM and GPU VRAM...

I agree. I was suggesting he go for an i5 instead of an i7, not an older i7, because an i7 doesn't make much of a difference comparatively in most games. If he's planning on playing the most demanding games, then yes, he needs an i7 and a 1080, but I think all your average gamer needs is an i5 (unlocked if you really want to overclock for funsies) and a 1070 at most. A 1060 will do pretty much everything you need, unless you want to push frames at 1440p or higher. Battlefield 1 should run on Ultra settings between 70 and 80 fps at 1080p on an i5 and a 1060. But, that point is moot, because we haven't asked the original poster what resolution he wants to play at.

So, what resolution do you want to play at? That, more than anything, determines the parts you need.
