Im planning to do a build with Kaby Lake cpu the pentium g4560.

I know for the cpu to work out of the box with the motherboard i need the chipset b250, but those motherboards cost a lot more than b150 motherboards, (in canada)

Im wondering if there is a way to bios update the b150 motherboard so i wouldnt need to get a b250 one.

you would either need to:

pray that the firmware is already up to date

get a skylake cpu, then update bios, then return the skylake cpu and buy a kaby lake one

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Well depending on where you're buying the motherboard you have two options, either pray that the motherboard came from the manufacturer with the bios version you need to run the g4560, or if your store has the following option.

Some stores charge 5$ or so to update the bios themselves before they ship it to you.

Apart from that the only other option is find a friend or family member that has a Skylake processor guaranteed to work with the b150 chipset, and use that processor to update the bios then install your g4560 and enjoy.

Or what @themctipers said.
