What's the best processor to pair up with a Msi 7950? around $150.

I'd go for a 8320.

:D that processor is in stock at my local microcenter store, but the problem is that the motherboard that I want is not in stock :/

A10-7850K might be pretty fast for gaming. But that comes out next year.

how about a fx-6300?

The FX 6300 would not bottleneck the 7950 and it is a great cpu for gaming imo.

Well if I said i3-4340, which is the same price as the FX 8320, everyone would jump all over me :) .

Yep.

the i3 is WAAAAAY less powerful. Just because it is intel doesn't mean that it will perform better. If he overclocks an 8320 he will get similar or better performance as an i5 4670k. And with mantle just around the corner, AMD is claiming that they were able to downclock the 8350 (essentially an O/Ced 8320) and still not bottleneck the GPU.
