So i bought an XLR Mic and the Behringer 302USB Xenyx 5 and i Cant get it to work with my MIC .

Now I never used anything like this so i simply connected it with the power thing to the wall till i shortly relise i also have to connect it to my laptop

So i used the USB to connect it straight to my laptop and its powered on but the the mic and the headset are not working..

It has INPUT L AND R line but i have no idea how and what to do !

If I shouldn't have bought this because It doesn't work with Pc's please tell me so i can at least try and return it :P

Edit* : It's working now but It's giving alot of HISSS noises Any ideads how to deal with them ?

uhmmm which one exactly ? :D

You should have something called like 'Behringer Line 1/2' for example. Mine says 'Input 1/2' (Komplete Audio 6) on my portable setup.

You could also try another sound card on another pc, if available.

Is the gain of the pre-amp turned up?

Does the mic cable function properly?

Yes everything is normal.

I ended up sending it back

now I'm using the MIC straight to my laptop without phantom power which i find weird because people told me i need a Psu

It still has backround noise but considering I have no audio interface I'm fine with it .

Does a cheap 50 bucks Audio interface with phantom power help ?
if so can you recommend one ?
