Hi!

I´m looking to start overclocking, so i´m wondering if i could get some general tips and knowledge that could aid me with this?

My system is running a gtx 780 asus DCU II and a rysen r7 1700 with the wraith spire cooler.

What clocks do these components usually go up to? So i have some kind of base line of where to start.

Appreciate all the help i can get! Thanks in advance!

780 who the fuck knows

Isn´t an overclock from 3 Ghz to 3,8 Ghz a pretty ridiculous bump? I mean i don´t know a lot about OCing but that does sound like a lot. Will it be fine with the spire cooler?

Just push it and monitor temps when benchmarking. Check in forums for acceptable ryzen temps.

So i tried overclocking my gtx 780

I added 25 mV, 200 on core clock, 300 on memory and made a custom fan preset.

Everything worked fine until the card randomly decided to get stuck on 575 Mhz no matter if im in a game or just on the desktop.

Temps and fan speed are low but gpu usage still goes up when im in games.

What´s happened? HALP!!
