Is an Aorus Z270X Gaming K7 mobo good enough for overclocking to maximum clock speeds?

If I want to overclock my i7 6700k and GTX 1080 Ti to the full potential, is the Aorus Z270X Gaming K7 motherboard good enough to do the job? Let's say if my i7 6700k could overclock to 4.8 ghz and my 1080 Ti could overclock to 2.0 ghz.

Mobo is one of the factor, however it also depends on the CPU itself (silicon lottery) and CPU cooler.

GPU overclocking depends on the GPU itself (sometimes PSU also plays a major role too), not related to mobo

The cooler is what matters more i think

I thought that the cooler doesn't have an affect on power delivery.

But it has an affect on the temps

No matter how good your CPU and your mobo are, high temp will cause thermal throttling (or shorten CPU lifespan)

K7 has the same VRM layout as the Gaming 7 model and it's fine, although if you're "dead on" about overclocking then you should take a look at the Z270X-Gaming OC.

So does the Gaming K7 have the same overclocking capabilities as the Gaming 7?
