no, I am downloading from same server as other places, but chrome is taking 13 hours! :(

Unless you're somehow downloading Steam games through Chrome, it's not the same server.

in my chrome its so weird, that the download slows down to nearly nothing when im on the downloads page in chrome lol

I recommend Opera for downloading, Chrome for browsing. Because far less people use Opera than Chrome, the downloads are noticeably faster.

Because far less people use Opera, the Opera servers have far less to handle. Chrome, because it has far more users, it is harder for the servers to handle all the traffic.

lol but opera doesnt have servers, its a program. you are still downloading from the same server for the file whether u have opera or chrome

Google has servers to host their users. These are SuperComputers with lots and lots of power, and companies have rooms full of them. Opera is the same.

Though this is true, you are slightly confused. Google has servers to host user's emails, drive files, youtube videos, google+ profiles and pictures, and downloadable software such as Chrome. Chrome and Opera are web browsers, a software program that are installed on a computer to allow the user to visit websites on the internet. When you use a web browser, you are viewing websites hosted by computers or servers from all over the world, and not Google (unless it a Gsite or one of Google's own websites). Similarly, when you download a file off the internet, you are downloading them from the server that the website/file is hosted on, NOT from Google or Opera. In the OP's situation, downloading from Steam is faster because you are downloading directly through the steam client and from Steam servers, which are optimized for these downloads.
