Hello, I'm planning custom wc for my cpu and maybe gpu in the future. I dont have much experience and need some advice. I'm looking for silence with oc potential.

My PC config:
I7 7700k (waiting for delid tool)
Asus strix z270f
Memory corsair vengeance 3000mhz
GPU aours XTR rx 580 8gb
PSU Corsair RM650i
Case: nzxt h440

I thinking about:

cpu : XSPC RayStorm Pro / Watercool HEATKILLER® IV PRO / EK-Supremacy EVO
radiator (on front): Magicool Ultra 360 [45mm]/ Coolgate G2 Triple 120mm (CG-360G2) [65mm]/ Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 Full Copper 360mm [46mm]
pump(prefer with reservoir): Magicool DC 12V Pump MC-DCP450 maybe D5 pumps from EK? can you recommend me something?

This is the core of set and i really dont know what should i choose can you help me?

CPU: XSPC has a great reputation, but I've never used them. I use EK Supremacy EVO blocks on a regular basis and they are pretty much top of the line, so you can't go wrong with them.

RADIATOR: The Alphacool Nexxos is a good choice, as it is fully copper in construction, meaning you can pair it with the copper version of the Supremacy EVO and have no issues as regards mixed metals.

PUMP: D5 pumps are well know for being ultra-reliable and relatively quiet, and will provide more than enough power for any reasonable loop. An EK D5 pump/res combo would be perfect for your needs, and ideal for a starter loop.

As regards your case, if you're not completely set on the H440, something with more radiator support like the Phanteks P400S/TGE would be a great choice, as it will allow you to install larger radiators, meaning your fans can spin at lower RPMs and be quieter.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask :)

First loop, don't forget to think about how you're gonna drain it, a t splitter and a ball valve make maintenance less of a hassle, just add them at the lowest point in the loop

Why is mixing metals bad exactly?

Mixing copper and nickel isn't a big issue, but if it can be avoided it's still ideal to have absolutely no mix.

Aluminium is a real problem, because it acts as what is referred to in chemistry as a sacrificial anode. In layman's terms, when you have both copper and aluminium in a loop, the copper ions released into the water will cause the aluminium to break down and degrade. This can severely degrade the metal itself and reduce efficiency of the components, as well as release metal particles into the loop that can cause clogging, etc. Aluminium also forms an oxide layer very easily, which has reduced thermal conductivity compared to its pure conterpart, so we tend not to recommend it.

More information and specifics on the exact process can be found in this article: http://www.overclockers.com/pc-water-coolant-chemistry-part-ii/.
