Hello all!

My current PC setup doesn't run as smooth as it should(or at least so far I know), and I was hoping some of you bright brains in here might help me solve this problem :)

This is my setup:

Operating System
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

CPU
Intel Core i5 3570K @ 3.40GHz 53 °C
Ivy Bridge 22nm Technology

RAM
8,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)

Motherboard
MSI B75MA-P45 (MS-7798) (SOCKET 0) 28 °C

Graphics
S24B350 (1920x1080@60Hz)
3072MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7970 (XFX Pine Group) 45 °C

Hard Drives
112GB OCZ-AGILITY3 (SSD) 30 °C
233GB Seagate ST3250823AS (SATA) 30 °C

Optical Drives
DTSOFT Virtual CdRom Device

Audio
Logitech G35 Headset

As far as I'm concerned I should be able to play most games at high/higher graphic settings, yet it doesn't seem to run properly.
For instance, my friend runs BF4 on high with a GTX 580 with no problems, however my game keeps having these laggspikes like every time it has to load something new.

Thanks in advance
Best Regards
Hieronymus

Update all your drivers and games to the latest version. Same goes for Windows as well (Windows Updates).

I've tried that, but it didn't seem to work.

What's your PSU? It might not deliver enough power. Just a guess.

When I run benchmark in game it gives me between 60-78 FPS. And it also runs smooth, when the laggspikes doesn't occur.

I'm sorry but I don't know a way to "show" you the FPS, but I'm willing to try everything

If it's just in BF4 don't be worried, that game is terribly unoptimized at the minute.

Yes I know, but it just felt weird that my friend could play it with a less powerful setup than mine on the same graphic setting.

(sorry for double posting)

And I remember when I played WoW a while back it didn't run over 35FPS in ultra, which was the almost the same rating as my old 6870

i would guess it is bf4 being unoptimized.... when mantle comes out i would expect more stable FPS.
