*URGENT* Formatting questions

Hello,

so im about to format both my drives and install Windows again but here are my problems first of them is that the USB i used to install Windows in the first place has the 8.1ISO on it and 2nd one is that my key is also for 8.1 but i use Windows 10 so my question is and i couldnt ask this to Microsoft because its a Sunday but maybe some of you know can i use my 8.1 key on a Windows 10 iso and is can i even get a Windows 10 iso from Microsoft?

Don't take my word on this, because I don't want to be responsible for leaving you without an OS if this isn't true, but I read that if you have windows 8.1 (if you can get it on your system), that you can still get the free upgrade to windows 10 by installing windows 10 for assistive technology users, and then just disable the assistive technology settings, so that may mean that if you have a license key for 8.1 that you can use it to get 10, but don't hold me to this. I read it about a month ago and it may not be true now.

If you have used that key earlier to upgrade to windows 10, you can enter that in the fresh windows 10 installation. 

 

Else there is a Media Creation Tool on Microsofts websites which creates windows 10 installation medias like dvd or usb stick.
