They are okay but there are better ones.

My personal recommendation are the Silverstone AP121 or AP123

Are the stock fans on the H220 decent or should i go aftermarket?  Also please don't suggest me noctuas, as i will only ever use them if i have a case without a window (no offence noctua fans ;) )

No offence for the noctua fans or no offence to the noctua fans fans? lol

As said Silverstone AP's are good or maybe gentle typhoons?

But first see if the swiftech fans are any good, to me they seem to be one of the best fans delivered with AIO coolers (don't have a h220 tho)

current system:  i5 2500k @4.5ghz cooled by antec 620 - asrock z77 extreme 4 - 8gb corsair RAM - MSI Twin Frorz 7950 in crossfire - XFX 850w  - Fractal design R4 - samsung 840 120gb ssd - 500gb wd blue hdd - 1440p korean qnix monitor (love it!)

The helix fans are excellent. The noctuas will get you a couple Celsius Better

i found this video and purchased the H220 and Noctua NF-F12 fans. i mounted the fans in a pull config like they did and mounted the rad and fans in the top of my case. my case has a window, but because the fans are in the very top space possible with the rad beneath them, i can't even see the fans. plus, even if i look on top of my case where the fans are mounted to the mesh, you can't really see them that much (i understand your point: Noctua fans look hideous. i agree).

anyways, check out the video too, they've got some good suggestions and statistics.

the Swiftech Helix 120 PWM is a clone of the great Sythe GT/AP-15 (1850) fans. not as expensive,

but not exactly the same caliber. since the GT-15 is not PWM, this can easily be an answer to fan

control without typical under-volting issues that the GT-15 has (click/grind). but there different fans

for different tastes and noise level performance, too. to split the differences the SF Helix 120 PWM

is pretty down the line of cost vs. performance.
