Hi there,

I am i the process of setting up my speakers to my pc. I also have a pair of headphones plugged into my pc.

The problem here is that i cannot play sound though the speakers, only my headphones, had my hifi friend come over to check if something was wrong with the speaker or amp or somethong, but it works just fine on my phone, so, i assume the problem lies in windows, the question is, what the hell do i do?

Kind regards

Windows can only play to one output at a time unfortunately.

If you want sound through both at the same time, get a 3.5mm splitter cable. Probs about £1.

Right on the realtek section click on the cog in the top corner, the top two tick options are both about muting the rear when front port is plugged in and playing separate audio.
Its annoying to set up and get the audio you want playing out the correct option but a good fiddle will solve it.

How is it wrong? Are you saying it wouldn't work? It's what I do.

Your wrong because you can play two separate audio tracks from one computer to two separate devices. I give you it is the biggest pain in the arse to get to work, but completely possible to do.

But I didn't say you couldn't did I. I offered up a method of doing it, a method that works. Not once did I say it's the only way of doing it. Plus your method varies depending on the internal sound driver. My method works 100% of the time.
