edit: Also, have you enabled freesync in the monitor's OSD?

Hi there!

I recently bought a 480 and a Samsung S24F356F monitor, both supposedly support freesync over HDMI (the monitor doesn't even have a DP input). The AMD Radeon software displays Freesync as "not supported" though...

I am using the HDMI cable that came with the monitor.

Any ideas? What could I have missed? 

I really only want to buy yet another HDMI cable if you are very confident it'll work
