Is this a new build or upgrade? Or did you do something that caused it to stop working?

Unsure what power supply to pick?

Check out my HTPC build.

Ok. Well the most common mistakes are ram. Which have to be in the second and fourth slot; it looks correct you might just want to reseat them. And also the power button cables. Check the manual to see if the power button is connected in the proper pin.

Your cable management makes me want to cry.

Check if PSU is good, if RAM is seated, all the normal stuff.

If none of the above works you most likely will need to update the bios as sometimes kabylake cpu's don't work out of the box on z170 boards.

Pcpartpicker compatability notice:

  • Some Intel Z170 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaby Lake-S CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

Wow.. Seriously.. ??

Don't want to be a dick... but if you built it........ with that cable management........ bring it to a PC shop lol

No seriously...

Re-seat RAM maybe ? Like other stated.. this could be a lot of things..

Check RAM and Power to CPU and GPU

As others have stated it may be the RAM. Also you are using a Kaby Lake CPU on a z170 board so you may need to update the bios with a Sky Lake ship before it will work. That being said, why do you have a stock cooler? Intel doesn't ship them with their higher end chips.

i5 6600k @ 4.4ghz on Hyper 212 Evo

Powercolor RX 480 8Gb Red Devil @1330Mhz

Bottom line:  Don't be a spaz or an 800lb gorilla when installing your expensive CPU, and you won't have any problems. --Phate.exe
