New pC build error

Hi, guys, I was building my new PC. it is a intel 7700k, asus maximus 9 hero therboard. I was trying to get it to post but the motherboard keep running into a error code: A2, accoring to the manual, it means IDE detected, Did anyone recognize it? and may I ask how to solve it?

 Leave only one HDD or SSD and Optical Drive for OS installation and disconnect the rest SATA devices from the motherboard.

- Possible SATA defective cable.

- Loose CPU_FAN connector.

- In BIOS disable CPU_FAN monitoring. (mostly for watercooler owners)

I didn't install a CPU cooler because the one that I had is not compatible with my CPU socket, I already disconnect one of the SSD and only connect a HDD drive, I checked the cable and they are fine.

Do you have a cpu cooler installed at all? If not that could be a big issue.

No I don't, I think this is more likely issue that it doesn't post. I just checked everything elsea, and this error just keep running.

If you don't have a cpu cooler installed it most likely will not post. The thermals will jump really fast. Also it will not sense the fan header being used and will go into a protective state.

Do I need to make all case fan started for post? Can i just use CPU cooler to get it post/

I don't know how long it will post without the cpu cooler installed. (mounted on the cpu with thermal paste) You don't need the other fans though. Mainly the cpu cooler.

not sure if the cpu could have fried itself...
