I would recommend just saving and getting this as a work/light gaming computer.

$500 is a pretty tight budget for a laptop, let alone a gaming laptop.

 

If you can't get up to at least $800, which is about the minimum to get something decent in a laptop form factor, then I suggest looking for used laptops.

 

Such as this one.

 

It's a bit big at 17 inches, but it has 16GB RAM and a GTX 780M (which is comperable to a GTX 1050 according to passmark) which is waaaaaaaay more than you will find new at that price point.
