3D Printer Screwup

So my school has a Makerbot Replicator something or other. Basically we have 2 Extruders (seperate). We have a Smart Extruder and a Smart Extruder+. We normally use the + but we managed to jam both of them. (like filament inside of the extruder and its bad). I managed to get the filament out of the + by using a drill bit and it works great.

But the non + is a different story. The drill bit ended up breaking off inside of the heating element (just below the heatsink). Any thoughts on how I can get it out? We rarely use the extruder but it would be nice to know I didnt break a $100+ extruder.

That sucks. You could see if Lowes has anything for removing taps or bits from the extruder.

Wow, you guys are radical when it comes to uncloging your hotend. Watch some videos on how to clean it, maybe soak it in acetone or burn it out. No nails or drills!
