Help with unrooting

I want to use snapchat, but with root it kinda hard. So tried to unroot using this script and then as the instruction said, I pulled out boot.img from the zip file of the ROM i'm using. I flashed that script zip using TWRP and then flashed boot.img. My phone got stuck in bootloop. I have no idea what I dod wrong

Yeah I fixed that, my phone works fine. I'm just wondering how to get snapchat working.

If you want more detailed help, I'm going to need to know what phone model and ROM you are using.

I have Samsung S6 edge+ ( SM-G928F) with Pure-Stock ExtraLite ROM. Disabling root acces in supersu app didin't help. I had other room with magisk and the hide feature worked, but as i'm running supersu that doesn't help.

You know what  I made it work somehow...

What I did:

So before I started playing with previuously mentioned script, I did a nandroid backup. Because my phone got bricked of script, I just booted in download mode (because I could't get in recovery) then I flashed TWRP via Odin. Restored my system from the backup I made before. I had no supersu in my system for some reason, tried to log into snapchat AND I GOT IN! Then I just downloaded SuperSu zip and flashed it from twrp. Now I have working root (e.g. Adaway works perfectly) and working snapchat!

Upon further searches it seems that Snapchat app was coded to look for supersu, so even if root was disabled snapchat won't let you in.

With supersu and related files gone Snapchat should then work.

Good that you also use Adaway. Its a must have for all of my phones

 

That just stupid that they did that with Snapchat. Only reason why they should do that if they wanted to prevent people from taking screenshots without OP seeing it, but there is still workarounds wiht unrooted phones.

 

Adaway was one of my top reasons why I wanted rooted phone and with Samsung there is so many unwanted stuff installed as default apps. They take up so much space, ram, battery. They probably wouldn't so useless if I lived in US, because they would work there, but none of them are supported in Finland.
