Normally I don't do this. I'm competent in math and if I need help I consult google or wolfram alpha, however neither of those can help in this situation. I only need help on 10 and 12, the others I understand. Here's the question:

Also it's due tomorrow so I could ask the teacher but I would prefer not to.

So, you're being asked to solve the equations for the range 0<θ<2π (because trig functions are periodic with a 2π period).

Presumably you already know how to find the solutions to equations, as you've already done 9 and 11. Is it the csc, sec and cot notation which is confusing you? sec(X)=1/sin(X), csc(X)=cosec(X)=1/cos(X), and cot(X)=1/tan(X).

Presumably you've also encountered basic factorisation before, and how to use it to solve equations.

The way it's written out isn't as clear as it could be, it's not clear if they mean (cot(x-√3))(csc(x-2))=0 or (cot(x)-√3)(csc(x)-2)=0. I would think they mean the second, as you could otherwise remove the outer brackets and retain meaning.

As a refresher i'll work through queston 10.

Spoiler
(cot(x)-√3)(csc(x)-2)=0
so: cot(x)-√3=0 or csc(x)-2=0

if cot(x)-√3=0,
cot(x)=√3,
1/tan(x)=√3,
x=tan-1(1/√3)
x=π/6

if csc(x)-2=0,
csc(x)=2,
1/cos(x)=2
x=cos-1(1/2)
x=π/3

x=π/6 or x=π3

Use a calculator, very easy.
