So, as the title suggests, I decided to move my appdata from my SSD to my main storage HDD for space reasons (or so I tell myself).

Issue is it broke my Windows start menu, so I decided to move it back to my SSD, now when I log into windows all I'm greeted with is a pure black screen.

Is there anything I can do to fix this, I've tried a system restore but it wouldn't let me go back to my last (and only) restore point sadly.

EDIT: After a fourth log in it finally works, and works a charm. What.

Please, only move folders supported by Windows. If you moving things unsupported you are asking for nothing else than trouble.

Your personal account folder such as Documents, Pictures, Videos, etc. can be moved. AppData, Program Files, etc. Cannot be moved, hence why you don't have the option. Also, even if it were to work, you risk to break software that don't check where the folder might have moved, but assumes it can't, as it isn't supported by Windows, and hence not in the documentation of Microsoft, and so they hard code the path.

I would use System Restore (you need to boot from Windows disk/USB flash drive, pick Repair when the option appear after picking your language, and you'll have the option inside) to return back your system in time a bit before you did the change. If things are still broken but have a desktop environment, make a new account switch ti to Admin, and transfer all your stuff to it, and delete the old account. Alternatively, you can create a new account from the command line when you boot from the Windows disk/USB flash drive, and enter the commands to create an account there as Admin, and restart, log to it, and transfer your stuff, and delete the old account, skipping the System Restore process.
