Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section. Also sorry for being a noob when it comes to stuff like this.

I bought a Raspberry Pi 3 and the Pi Touchscreen. I loaded it up with Volumio and hooked it up to my Emotiva DAC. All works as I expected.

The problem I am having is playing music from an Android device to the Pi setup through DLNA or UPnP. From what I can tell I need an app in order to see the Pi on Android. I found some apps that I think will work, but they are all full music players. I DON'T WANT THAT!!!! I use DS Audio because I can connect it to my Synology NAS. So is there an app in the Google Play Store that just connects the device to UPnP or DLNA, not act as a player?

I run JRiver on my server so I've been using Gizmo, but I think this should do what you're looking for:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.github.nutomic.controldlna&hl=en

A lot of the other apps like BubbleUPNP would work as well but they're a bit cluttered with other features

Could you not just use the Volumio webpage?

Let me know if you have any other questions, I've been through the same sort of process :)
