Lenovo y720

I wanted to purchase a lenovo y720 from lenovo's website until I came across their custom configurator and found out that configuring your own model is cheaper than the presets ex 2 tb hd and a 1tb ssd only cause me around $1799 why does the the preset $1799 come with a 1tbhd and a 512 gb ssd which is clearly smaller than the configurator. What are the trade offs? Is there something I missed? Thanks in advance

Most likely because the custamisable one is having a sale right now, with it's base price being lowered.
