hey, I have an HDD with pretty much everything on it, including windows. How can I transfer the info to an SSD so I can use that as my main, Do I need a special chord or something?

You would be much better off doing a fresh install of windows and reinstalling what you need. I know it is painful (I've done it around 4-5 times) but worth it. It is likely that what you have on the HDD will not fit on the SSD but you might be lucky or have a large SSD so you will need to delete stuff anyway. There is plenty of good cloning software out there and some SSD's come with some to use.

@infiniteblessing

Cloning a HDD to an SSD is technically possible but realistically its very likely not possible.

How big is the HDD and how big is the SSD?

To answer your question, nope, no special anything required. Just connect both drives to your motherboard then run the cloning software, select source and destination and hit clone.
