Newb Mechanical KB question

Hey all,

I have a Corsair K70 RGB. Its been a great kb since I got it a few years ago. However, a few of the keys are now double or triple clicking... particularly annoying when trying to enter passwords. Anyways, can I simply replace the problem keys with new Cherry switches? This is my first mechanical kb and I've never replaced them before.

Thanks for any advice :)

I would first take all the caps off then clean everything, maybe something in/on those keys is getting stuck. If that doesn't work I would say if your keyboard is still within the warranty period, just RMA it. Otherwise I'm not experienced in switch replacement so I can't help you there.

You can replace switched but it would take some soldering experience. It would be best to contact corsair and see if they will replace it. This is, of course, after cleaning it just to make sure.
