Just use Windows Insider and stay on an older build that you find stable - it's pre-activated and with all features as a gift from MS.

Well I have a copy of windows, I wouldn't say do this if you don't have a key. However I ran into Issues going from 7 too 10 and I was stuck with Home version of 10 which had none of the features I wanted, and I was interested in playing with Hyper - V. Thus I don't think pirating any OS is a good idea. Always best to get the original source as if you get from third party maybe is going to come with 'extra' software like browsers or what have you. If you doing content creation or buisness application you may want to purchase a copy, like an OEM version if possible for cheap. I wouldn't give Ms too much money if you can help it.
