Normally thin clients needs a server to run them and about 10000+USD in software. Id stay away from then for anything buy 100+ users.

Well I am doing this for a business with a dell power edge r230 with 32gb of ram windows server essential 2016.

No where close to any of that,

We run thin clients for our clients, We found a Hosted server to work best, Slight knock on performance but the checking emails and documents, don't need performance, It also made way way more sense than asking companies to shell out for Servers and all the rest.

Check out VMware they are good, but pricey otherwise there are a few alternatives.

Redstone:
i7-4770 / Z97 / GTX 980 / Corsair 16GB  / H90 / 400C / Antec EDGE / Neutron GTX240 / Intel 240Gb / WD 2TB / BenQ XL24

Obsidian:

MSI GE60 2PE i7-4700HQ / 860M / 12GB / WE 1TB / m.Sata 256gb/Elagto USB HD Capture Card

Razer Deathadder Chroma / Razer Blackwidow TE Chroma / Kingston Cloud2's / Sennheiser 429 / Logitech Z333

get normal desktops. Its cheap and easier to work with a small deployment.

You can't easily do remode desktop services on essentials, so you need standard and cals or get esxi and horizon or xenserver.\

What are you tyring todo here instead of desktops?

Just trying to cut down on cost. I was thinking about building cheap desktop computers.
