Dell XPS 15 price changes over the first half year after launch

I'm going to be buying a Dell XPS 15 9560 for college sometime before August (I'm going to be a freshman in the fall). I'm trying to figure out when the best time to purchase the laptop might be.

Currently, there is a 10% sale on many items at the Dell store, and this would give me $190 off my ~$1,811 configuration, according to the checkout.

How does the price of the XPS 15s typically behave during the first half year after release? Is it worth skipping the $190 off now in hopes for a bigger price drop by July, or should I get it now?

Rule of thumb I've always followed with tech is to just buy it if there is a deal going on.
Chances are if you wait, by the time the price natively matches the deal, something bigger and better will available and catch your eye.
