Intel Future Cpu adn MOBO

Hello my friends,

I was wondering, will a z270 mobo be compatible with future Gen cpus, such as the Intel Coffee Lake that is releasing the second half of this year which from my understanding is the same architecture as the Kaby Lake. And is it even worth getting a unlocked mobo for K cpus?

Intel hasn't confirmed anything but I'm sure they use a new 'LGA' socket as LGA 1151 would be nearly two years old by the time that Coffee Lake launches.

Right now there are only rummors that Coffe Lake will be 1151 socket.

I wouldn't count on it to be honest.
