Hey friends, my brother has a HP Pavilion p7-1229 and  just got a http://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-6255-KR and I installed it, however whenever I go to boot it gets stuck on a screen very similar to this http://psg.i.lithium.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/83496i4C8A1F4ECA5D96F4?v=1.0

After ~15 seconds it beeps once, then after maybe another 15 seconds it beeps once, pause of ~1 second then 3 more beeps right after. After the 4 beep phase any key I press on the keyboard makes a slight beep sound from the MOBO.

I also tried uninstalling the drivers for the older 550Ti that was in there, that didn't help.

I took the card out and put it in a different computer and it works fine.

I then swapped out hard drives so the HP hard drive was in the PC that worked with the 1050 Ti, it bluescreen'd with 0x7b.

Any thoughts on why the 1050 Ti isn't working on the HP?

I've found that HP computers (much like the one I'm using right now) are picky with their hardware. For instance, mine won't recognize some of my keyboards, but others will.

Main System: Phobos

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 (8C/16T), ASRock B450 Steel Legend, 16GB G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000MHz, AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB (XFX), 960GB Crucial M500, 2TB Seagate BarraCuda, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations/macOS Catalina

Secondary System: York

Intel Core i7-2600 (4C/8T), ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, 16GB GEIL Enhance Corsa DDR3 1600MHz, Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, 240GB ADATA Ultimate SU650, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Older File Server: Yet to be named

Intel Pentium 4 HT (1C/2T), Intel D865GBF, 3GB DDR 400MHz, ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB (HIS), 80GB WD Caviar, 320GB Hitachi Deskstar, Windows XP Pro SP3, Windows Server 2003 R2
