Corrupt partition?

This is an error message I got when trying to shrink my Win10 partition on one of my servers. Is there any way to get past this? I tried running Chkdsk but it didn't do anything.

Why do you have multiple partitions on your drive?

 

Run chkdsk.

The drive is decent (not quiet, but not failing) and I have multiple partitions for multiple operating systems. Windows 10 is for productivity and Windows Server 2012 R2 for an RDP server. Running chkdsk didn't do any good (indicated in first post).

Just run one os and use vms

 

Is the smart data good?

 

Was it unmounted correctly?

 

run chkdsk.

1: Can't. This machine isn't powerful enough and I really don't want my server to run in a VM or vice-versa. 

2: As far as I know. I will go check.

3: No. It is always shut down properly.

4: Doesn't do anything.

Not much it seems like you can do then. A reinstall might help

 

Can't you just use 2012r2 as your desktop? it will run games and other programs just fine.

Can't you just use 2012r2 as your desktop? it will run games and other programs just fine.

I do use it as my desktop, but it doesn't have Office Professional Plus or anything else installed on it. Here's the data on the hard drive BTW.

No, it gives the same error as Windows 10 (which is on that partition) did.

This machine hasn't got an optical drive. I'm afraid I'll have to try that tomorrow (It's after midnight). I'll let you know how that goes.
