Hi, I would like to have your opinion on my game PC build and how to improve or save money. if you also would like to tell me if the parts are compatible with each other, would be nice.
my budget is max €800 but I like it to be less. parts in the Netherlands are a bit more expensive so 200 dollars in the USAs is 220 euros here.

thanks

Extra: what you think of the AOC G2460VQ6 monitor?

Going off your build you posted,

your PC won't run at all. 1500x comes w/ no cooler, since it's more for overclocking, so you need to add a cooler.

So based on that, your better off going for a Ryzen 5 1600 over the 1500x, since that extra $30 will be a cooler anyways, but the 1600 comes w/ a stock wraith cooler, and you get more stuff.

Current System Specs:

CPU: Intel I5-7660K; CPU Cooler: Coolermaster Hyper 212X; Thermal Paste: IC Diamond 7 Carat; Motherboard: MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon;

RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8gb) DDR4 - 2400; SSD Storage: 1TB Samsung 850 EVO; Storage: 2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm;

GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1070 8gb G1 Gaming; Case: NZXT Phantom 530 Black; PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 650W 80+ Gold, OS: Windows 10 Home

Doubt that, since the rule of thumb was X behind the numbers is a giveaway it has no stock cooler. It was true for the Ryzen 7, so unless they completely did a 180 on stuff (good ol AMD), then you might be correct.

@deXxterlab97 you know anything by chance?

edit: Looks like your right, my bad, didn't realize they made it less obvious.

Alternative motherboard if you want to save 10e;

I wouldn't bother spending an extra 15e+ for an RX 580 over the 480, bit pointless IMHO.

Add an SSD asap.

Hi, could you explain why this motherboard is better than the one I had?

Also, I thought 2x4gb ram is better than 1x8 and the 2x4gb I had was cheaper.

Do you think it is possible to include a semi-modular PSU in this?

I am including an SSD later this year when there is a good deal for it.

4 DIMM slots, as opposed to 2. Better build quality and better VRMs.

No, 2x4GB isn't necessarily better than 1x8GB. The RAM you were looking at was 2133MHz. The RAM I included is nicer and faster. I'd get 2666MHz+ RAM with Ryzen whenever possible though, since Ryzen likes faster RAM. Also, 1x8GB gives you more/easier RAM upgrades in the future. If you went with the Asrock motherboard that only had 2 DIMM slots and the 2x4GB RAM, you'd not be able to upgrade RAM in the future without replacing it completely. With 1x8GB, you can add another 1x8GB at any point and still have room to add more. I don't recommend anything less than 8GB sticks these days, but you can go with 2x4GB if you want.

It is possible to get a semi-modular PSU if you want, but it will put the cost up. Also, modularity isn't that huge a deal in a case like the S340. Modularity will help your cable management because it will be easier on you, but it won't affect aesthetics whatsoever, thanks to the S340's PSU shroud. This is the cheapest half decent semi-modular PSU I could find;
