Installing a CD question

Go to solution Solved by cookiejarmonsta,

*solved* So, at the end I didn't need to rip to an .ISO basically what I did was installed the game onto my external HDD via my laptop. Once installed copied game that was on the external HDD onto my desktop SSD. Seeing as I was using Origin it detected the game and everything was all sweet, just had to download the current patch ad I was good to go!

Well... You need a dvd drive. You can either buy an external or internal one and install the game. I don't think making an .iso file out of it on another pc will work because of piracy protection.

Main Rig - AMD Ryzen 1800X @ 3.9 - NZXT Kraken X62 - MSI X370 SLI PLUS - G.Skill TRIDENT Z RGB 16GB 2667MHz - 2 x Gigabyte GeForce GTX1080 WindForce OC - NZXT S340 (Purple-White) - OCZ 120GB, Seagate 1TB - Corsair RM750i 80+ Gold - SAMSUNG S24D590 24", HP L1950g - Logitech G810 Orion Spectrum - Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum - Creative Cambridge Sound Works + two random Philips speakers, Logitech G430 headset - Win 10 Pro x64

Retro Gaming PC - ASUS T3

Server - HP ProLiant DL380 G6(Currently assembling it) - 2 x Intel Xeon E5520 2.26GHz 8MB Quad Core Processor

NAS - Zyxel NSA320S 2 x Seagate Constellation ES 2TB(RAID1) - QNAP TS-212 1 x 500GB

Well that just brought up an idea , i have a laptop with a dvd drive and an external ssd. What if installed it onto my ssd via my laptop then drag the files onto my tower?

Don't. You can't copy paste what's in a dvd and run it (might work but can not guarantee).  What I do is rip it to an .iso file. Imgburn is a nice tool to do that.

Then copy iso file to your desktop. Mount iso with Windows and it will act like a dvd disc
