Hey y'all,

I'm sure this question has been answered in the forum before, but I was wondering if anyone had some tips they could share when painting/stenciling a large case. I've decided to recolor my case and spray an image onto the side (I'm going for a Fallout Nuka-Cola theme), but was wondering what the best material would be to cut the stencil into, as well as the best way to keep it from sliding around on my behemoth CoolerMaster HAF X case. I've seen people use frisket film, construction paper, tape, and adhesive sprays on Youtube, but haven't found any good tutorials specifically for computer cases.

Thanks!

I would recommend to get vinyl stick on or adhesive backed stencils since it helps prevent paint from bleeding under the stencil or soaking through. For complex shapes or designs using an air brush and vinyl plotter to cut out the design would be a good option.

@W-L is right a vinyl sticker or stencil cut out at a local sign shop or someone you know with a plotter works best. I sometimes shoot light mist of clear on first to seal up the edges of the vinyl if on a rougher surface.
