Hello,

Lately i was trying to Overclock my Ryzen System and so far i have only been able to Overclock my CPU but not my RAM.

I have Tried using the XMP Profile that came with the RAM but no luck there either.

CPU: Ryzen 7 1700 + (Stock Cooler) @ 3.8Ghz

Motherboard: Gigabyte AORUS AX370 Gaming 5 v1.0 @ Bios F5

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LED White 16gb @ 3200Mhz (8GB x 2)

GPU: Sapphire RX480 Nitro+ OC

PSU: Super Flower 650W LEADEX White (Gold Cert)

I have used BIOS and Ryzen Master to check how the CPU will OC but the RAM doesn't wanna OC at all.

It fails at BIOS changes and even at the Ryzen Master Program.

The Motherboard just gets into a reboot loop until it completely resets everything, sometimes even goes back one BIOS (F5d).

Thanks for reading my problem, can't wait to see some good answers.

What speed did you try to run at? 3200? There are issues with the overclock profiles for these at the moment and await an AGESA patch from AMD in May. Try 3000 or 2933 at 1.35V. When you choose the profile what does it select for your timings? If you really really want 3200 right now then I suggest watching Level1Tech's video about increasing RAM frequency and slackening timings. I can't link you from this PC due to filter :)

I think its largely BIOS related. Asus are on it, I have the crosshair and am using the beta bios 082 which contains the latest micro code from AMD. Really stable for me at 3.9 or 4GHz and 2933, big difference from 1002 which was the last update that contained the old micro code.

 Easy.

Put usb stick with BIOS in the right usb port. Navigate to tools in BIOS and choose "easy flash" (might not be exact spelling) chose the file location and hit go its very easy :)

I have Geil Evo Forza 2x8GB 16-16-16-36 3200MHz memory, running at 2933 (I couldn't hit 3200), on a Gigabyte B350 board, VDDSOC is set to .9v in Ryzen Master (default was .85v, I could hit 2667 with that, but not 2933).  I have the DRAM voltage set to 1.3v.

I foolishly downloaded the Gigabyte utilities, which seemed to interfere with Ryzen Master.  Someone with more experience building computers said "Never do that!  Those are crap."

YMMV, of course :-)
