My current PSU (Antec Earthwatts 500W) has started making some weird noises even at idle and PC gets a bit unstable under load. I don't want to spend too much on a replacement as I will be getting a whole new PC in a few months time so I want something that will last me at least that long and maybe be useful if needed for diagnostics. This is my shortlist according to the price limit I have set for myself whuch is about 70$ but prices are quite a bit higher here in Croatia

- Cooler Master MasterWatts Lite 500W
- Cooler Master MasterWatts Lite 600W
- XFX TX 500W
- Corsair VS550
- Antec VP600P
- Seasonic SS-520GB

I would go for even cheaper 450W PSU but MSI states that 500W is required for my GTX 950 OCV1

That Seasonic is the best

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

I'd go with the EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W. This gives you some room for upgrade in the future and it's Tier 1 according to the PSU Tier List here on the LTT Forums. It's around your price point too coming in at $80 on Amazon UK or OutletPC [US], but I bet you could find a promo code somewhere or wait for a sale.

The thing is, I need new PSU as soon as possible. Current one makes some crackling noises even on idle and I want to buy a new one before this one decides to fail completely. Currently I am on a tight budget until next paycheck and I just need something so that I can work and play on my PC without a fear of it failing at any moment.

I am considering EVGA PSU for my new build for which I will be saving next few months and I will definitely be going with Tier 1 or Tier 2 PSU, but now of all PSUs available here in Croatia (from reputable shops) those are the ones that are in my price range.

I think I will be going with Seasonic one as I see that there is rarely any negative review of their PSUs
