Heya folks,

I'm planning (not in the near future) to upgrade my pc, but I have some questions about compatibility.

First of all this is my build ( https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7zsDFd), yes I use the stock cooler.

At first the colorscheme didn't really matter to me, but now I've come to the conclusion I want something else, white&black style, with rgb LED's

I saw the NZXT HUE+ and the Kraken x52/62 and I really like the looks of those products,

The thing is, I have no idea if my mobo is compatible with those usb connectors that the hue+ and kraken require.

I'm also looking for a new case, I've been thinking about the NZXT s340, h440 (new edition, the corsair carbide 600t) and the manta, all in the white edition.

SLI is not an option by the way

Could you help me figuring this out?

Budget:

Case: €130 maximum

mobo ( only if necessary): €130

Wait, you already have all the parts except the motherboard and case?

The motherboard has two USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 header. Supports a total of six usb ports, two per header. Likely the case will use the USB 3.0 header, leaving the two USB 2.0 headers for HUE+ and Kraken.

The motherboard is mATX. It will look a bit small in an ATX case like the S340, H440, or 600T. The Manta is a mini-ITX case. It is too small for a mATX motherboard.

Cases you might consider: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/carbide-series-air-240-arctic-white-high-airflow-micro-atx-and-mini-itx-pc-case and http://phanteks.com/Enthoo-Evolv.html.

Thanks, I've seen the Phanteks mATX and I really liked the case, the problem is that it isn't for sale anymore in my country. And I dont really mind the smaller look of my mobo

No I have all the parts, but I'm making a list with the products I want to upgrade my build with, but I had some insecurities about the mobo and the case

By the way, I do want an LED strip in the case, and I've seen on the Phanteks website that they deliver a free phanteks led strip with the purchase of the p400 tempered glass version.

The point is, i have no idea if you can customize those LED's more than just the standard colors it delivers. Because if it delivers customisation, then i'll drop the hue+ and go for that case.

Check out http://phanteks.com/Eclipse-P400-TemperedGlass.html. The case includes a built-in RGB controller and suggests it is compatible with Asus Aura Sync and MSI Mystic Light Sync. Looks like http://www.phanteks.com/PH-CB_RGB4P.html is needed to achieve that compatibility.

According to the user manual, the built-in RGB controller has 10 colors. Of course finding a good sample of all the colors is non-trivial. Presumably the little color triangle in the web page features section shows all the colors but white.
