get an old cheap PC, with a core 2 duo, that'll be $30 max, then two 1TB HDDs for about $80 and then install xpenology, freeNAS or any of the other OSs for that onto it and run it off that, this system could be put into two RAID modes by the way 0, gives you added speed, and the full 2TB but if one drive dies you lose all your data, or 1 which gives you normal speeds and only 1TB but if  one drive dies you still have all your data
