i want to know whats the cheapest ram that will work with the core i5-650. and I would also like to know whats the cheapest motherboard that will work with it

I5 650 or 6500? 650 uses ddr3, you would have to buy a used motherboard likely. 

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

Do you want high speed, cheap, or stable?  DDR3 1600 is stable on my i7-930 (first gen, like yours) but the memory is rated for 2400.  Try to push it with XMP and it all flies apart.  It's really going to depend primarily on your motherboard.
