Best tablet for usage

Go to solution Solved by cc143,

Get the surface pro 4, its by far the most capable of the 3. Onenote coupled with the surface pen is awesome, you can use full desktop office programs, it has a usb port so you can attach external hdds/peripherals etc. A mini DP port to use with an external display more easily than an mhl adapter and its specced like a beast!

Its by far the best all rounder and if you can afford it you shouldn't look at anything else. Also, it has native peripherals like the keyboard which is amazing if that is your thing.

Hi all,

I'm currently looking for a tablet, in th next month or two and I'm kind of hesitant between the big three.

I'm unable to decide between:

Ipad Pro 9,7 128GB

Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 32GB

Surface 4 Pro (i5-6500U/128GB/16GB RAM)

I will mainly will be travelling with the tablet for long flights ( 6+ hours) and lot of commuting. So video capabilities is important (i mainly use mkv format if that can change something).

I will also use it for note taking while I follow presentation, and this is probably the most important part. I want it to be easy to take the note and export them afterward.

Obviously, I will also be using it for surfing the net.

I will probably also by the keyboard, regardless of the tablet I buy.

Can you guys help me decide which one would be the best?

Thank you,

Bruno

Edit: Forgot to mention I have a GL502VM as a laptop, for gaming purposes.

Easy notetaking? Scrap the Galaxy tab already

The media playback all depends on how you're gonna implement it I guess. Plex offline mode? iTunes doesn't support mkv so I don't think you'll be able to sync the movies through it. The Surface might be easier for that unless you'll use Plex.

Thank Wanno, why Plex might be difficult with the surface? I have a Plex server on my NAS, but only got the free version so offline sync is not an option at the moment.

Why the notetaking is difficult on the Tab S3?

Thank you
